Tired of the Pigeon?
Some of us grown-ups might be tired of hearing about Mo Willems’ Pigeon character, but our kids can’t get enough of him.
I usually visit www.mowillems.com for my Pigeon news,
but there’s a new website built especially our younger Pigeon fans: www.pigeonpresents.com
Pigeon Presents features Mo-related games, drawing activities, and profiles of other characters, including Knuffle Bunny, Leonardo, and our newest friends Gerald and Piggie.
But parents and teachers shouldn’t feel left out; there’s also a section called “grown-up stuff” including videos, teacher guides, and information about author appearances.
In case you haven’t had enough, look in the library or bookstore for Gerald and Piggie in Mo’s new line of easy readers:
See if you can find the Pigeon hiding in there somewhere…

Hey Ellen! I’m definitely in the tired-of-the-pigeon-(and-its-creator) camp… So much so that I’ve held off on even reviewing the new Willems easy readers.
BUT easy readers that feel like real books are hard to come by. Tell me, what’s your review of these? Are they awesome? Worthwhile? Will I fall in love with Mo Willems all over again?
